after most of its members returned back from their studies and they are ready to continue with
the project. The team is also planning to conduct training on how to carry out FOSS localization to the students from Department of Computer Science and Engeneering.

<description><![CDATA[<p align = "justify"> <img src='/kiblog/images/new.gif'> Kilinux team succeeded to finish a new Extended Kiswahili Glossary and it is available for download through this link <a href="/kiblog/documents/glossary/sw_TZ_Extended_glossary.xls">Extended sw-TZ Glossary </a>. Currently the glossary is available in xls format and it can be opened using either excel(MS Office) or Calc(OpenOffice.org). We are still preparing its corresponding PO , PDF and Writer formats. <description><![CDATA[<p align= "justify">The kilinux team completed 80% of translation work and now is collaborating with mozilla technical experts to create kiswahili language pack(sw-TZ.xpi) for Mozilla Firefox 3.1. Also, the team is arranging to meet with kiswahili experts from both Institute of Kiswahili Research (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.ikr.udsm.ac.tz/">IKR</a>) - University of Dar es salaam and Baraza la Kiswahili Tanzania (BAKITA) to discuss and translate difficult terms in order to complete 100% of translation work in few coming days. </p>]]></description>

Firstly, migration of the older version of Kiswahili Mozilla Firefox (Jambo Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3) to a new version (3.0.1) and Secondly,  localizing Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 from scratch. <description><![CDATA[<p align= "justify"> The Kilinux Team is about to finish the development of a new Kiswahili spell checker that will replace the existing one used in Jambo OpenOffice.org 1.0.3. The spell checker was developed using MySpell spell checking tool. The team is finalizing the collection and verification of valid kiswahili stems to be used in the Kiswahili wordlist together with the creation of Kiswahili morphological rules that will be used to create more Kiswahili prefixes/suffixes for the affix file.  ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<p align="justify">The <b>kilinux</b> Team is proud to announce the official release of <b>Jambo mozilla Firefox</b>
on 30th September 2006. The official launching of the Jambo Mozilla Firefox will take place
at the <b>Nkurumah Hall</b> at the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).<br/><br/>
The former president of the United Republic of Tanzania his excellency Ali Hassan Mwinyi
will officially launch this first Kiswahili web browser. This is a second free Kiswahili software
released by the kilinux team after launching Jambo OpenOffice in February 2005.</p>]]></description>
